6 Simple Steps For Putting Professional Quality Audio On Your Website
Audio on your website adds a new dimension for your visitor. It keeps them on your website longer, it engages them on a different level than simply reading text, it makes your website come alive, and if you’re in the e-commerce arena it increases your sales.
With all the benefits of using audio on your website, why doesn’t everyone use it?
The number one reason is, most webmaster’s don’t know how. But it’s super simple to get your voice, your music or whatever audio you want onto your website in 6 simple steps.
For this example, we’re going to put your voice on your website. First, we’ll look at the process and after, we’ll review the software and hardware.
Step 1
Record your voice onto your computer using your microphone. For voice recording, record at 22050 Hz, on a Mono Channel, at 24 or 32 kbs. Although that may seem a little cryptic right now, you’ll see how simple it is in a moment.
Step 2
Depending on the effect you want to achieve, you may want to add background music to your audio. If you’re doing a short sales message, background music can add power to your presentation. Adding background music involves layering your original audio with a music track. Again, this is easier than it sounds.
Step 3
When your visitor arrives on your website, you can play your audio automatically for them, or give them a set of buttons to press if they want to hear your audio. Generally, you will give them a minimum of a “Play” button, a “Pause” button, and a “Stop” button.
Step 4
Some audio creation software gives you the flexibility of sending your visitor to another website when the audio has finished playing. This is useful in the e-commerce world. When your audio finishes playing, you can automatically transfer your visitor to another website.
Step 5
Copy and paste a snippet of code into the webpage where you want your audio buttons to appear.
Step 6
Upload your new audio webpage with the 2 accompanying audio files to your server.
And that’s it. 6 simple steps to adding audio to your website.
The beautiful part is, it takes longer to describe the process here than it does to actually create and upload an audio. After you’ve done it a couple times, you’ll be able to add new audio to your website in less than 5 minutes. Not including your recording time
The software and hardware configuration is simple. The only hardware you need, in addition to your computer, is a microphone. The simplest and most versatile software I’ve used for the job is Impact Web Audio. You can see a live example and get more details at

Thanks for the post Terry, and just a note if i may.
Its worth noting that some Advertising/promotion sites wont allow automatic audio or video sqeeze/sales pages, pays to do your homework if that’s a facet of your web promotional plan.
Cheers and
Thanks
