Ross Goldberg’s Internet Marketing Masters Seminar Rocked!!!

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

WOW! What a weekend. I hardly know where to start. Ross Goldberg is THE master of the masters when it comes to putting together a seminar. Everyone I talked to absolutely loved the event and took away a lot of quality information and new contacts.

It was the first time for me to be a speaker at an internet marketing event and it was a blast. My business partner, Tahir Shah, and I unveiled a brand new concept in internet marketing which will go fully live on March 15th. Attendees at the event were very receptive to the concept and we got a lot of positive feedback.

If you want a little sneak peek at one of the modules in the system, you can watch the video at www.imocent.com/gold

But back to the event. Ross organized a high quality seminar that touched people at every level, from beginner to experienced marketer. He mixed a variety of speakers with talent on and offline to present a comprehensive business development experience for everyone.

The networking party on Saturday night gave everyone the opportunity to mingle, meet and build new relationships. And the pizza was good too :) It was nice to see the diversity of people who attended. It wasn’t just internet marketers, but also people outside the internet marketing arena who were there to learn how to use internet marketing to improve their businesses.

The networking aspect of the event is often more important than the actual speakers, because you develop relationships that will help take your business to the next level. In fact, here’s a couple pointers while you’re networking.

1. Give everyone your business card and make sure to ask for theirs too.And don’t just squirrel them away in a drawer when you get home. Email every single one of them to let them know it was a pleasure meeting them. If I got your business card, I’ll be mailing you in the next couple days :)

2. When someone introduces themselves, look at them directly and repeat their name so you’ll remember it

3. Let the other person speak about themselves and listen intently. Like Tahir says, you hear with your ears, but you listen with your mind. Listen to the other person.

I encourage anyone who was fortunate enough to attend the event, to send Ross a thank you email letting him know how much he influenced your life.

And I saved the best to the last. Part of Tahir and my presentation was to collect a dollar from everyone in the audience and donate it to charity along with our contribution. We wanted to show that Ross’s event helped more people than just the ones sitting in the room. Ross chose a charity set up to help the children and families of the soldiers who have fallen in the Iraq war and over $500 was donated from less than 50 people. Ross and Harris’s generous matching donation showed the true heart and spirit that these guys really have. As soon as Ross posts a copy of the receipt for the donation, I’ll pass it on to you. There will also be a website set up shortly to accept donations from internet marketers for the charity. Let’s show the world how generous and caring we are.

Please feel free to post your comments about Ross’s seminar here and make sure you get to his next conference.

Talk again soon.

Enjoy your day!
